): 1. a self-organizing virtual concurrence of local and global faith communities, 2. ecclesial consilience facilitated by the microprocessor, 3. the shrinking of widespread ecclesia into common forums, 4. a personal journal which explores the congruence of spirit and technology, among other musings.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m not a theologian and offer few credentials to host a conversation on the intersection of science and spirit. I’m doing this because I perceive the impact of the microprocessor on spiritual community to be far more disruptive than Gutenberg-meets-Luther. The convergence of technology and religion is arguably among the most important dynamics shaping today’s world. It’s my hope that microclesia.com grows as a resource where spiritual journey is contextualized within a culture of increasingly immersive technology.

I’m a husband and father; a post-categorical Jesus type who tends to disrupt and agitate Christendom at every turn; an INTJ technologist, serial entrepreneur, musician, organic Syrah farmer / winemaker, and ever-curious pilgrim on this mysterious adventure. I look after a number of smaller technology-based companies, tend our family vineyard, play guitar whenever possible, occasionally lecture at conferences and colleges, and remain active in conversations on structural sustainability. None of this would be possible without the incredible love and support I share with my extraordinary wife and son. We reside in the western Sierra foothills, near Lake Tahoe.
